"I just want to thank you for working miracles with Petey. He is such a good dog. I have had numerous people comment on how well trained he is, especially since he's only 9 months old! If it had not been for your training, I don't know if Petey would still be here in our home. "I just wanted to thank you for the exceptional training you have done with our Clumber Spaniel, Willy. He is by far a changed puppy dog. I will be forever grateful.

As you know, we did not have Willy for the first five years of his life. I always thought something horrible would happen to him because we could not get him to stop bolting for the front door or listen when it was really important. This made for a lot of crazy making in our family and very limited travels since we took Willy everywhere and if dogs were not allowed then we just stayed home. Thus, I was extremely apprehensive when I first left him with you, actually sick to my stomach! There was quite a hit of separation anxiety on my part, for Willy is as dear to me as my twins and you never minimized those feelings not once, but educated our family that there is a better way to live with our dog and still spoil him rotten! If it wasn't for you, I don't think we would have ever clued in that Willy had a hearing problem thus you taught both he and our family how to work together so his hearing deficit is no longer a problem or an excuse for him not to listen. He loves to work and play thus with his new training, we are enjoying him twice as much, if that is possible!

In closing, I look forward to our continued relationship and the training process with our new puppy Kimba Clyde, our second Cumber Spaniel. I trust you completely with both of our dogs and deeply appreciate your dedication and time you have spent with our family to insure we have two well-behaved socialized dogs. I always know that when they stay with you for boarding or training, they become part of your family and I no longer have that sick feeling in my stomach! You are truly a dog goddess. "Vendy you were so right when you see Cody. His personality is priceless. He is the sweetest most adorable dog I have ever known. I had my 3 and 4 year old nieces here for Easter, Cody was so good with them. I also had my friend visit with her two sons ages 5 and 6, which the 5 year old is scared of dogs. Cody must have known to be really good, because by the time my girlfriend left, her son was playing with Cody all by himself and was not scared at all. I love Cody.

There are so many stories that I'm so proud of about Cody but I just want you to know that you have given us a gift from heaven. We love Cody so much. I just bought a digital camera just as soon as I figure out how to e-mail you pictures I will send pictures of Cody to you. He loves taking the kids to school and he has fun in the backyard and more importantly loves to be with all of us. And there hasn't been anymore accidents in the house. YEAH!

"We travel often for work, and needed a place to board our boxer, Athena. She was slightly dog aggressive, and needed socialization in a positive environment. We were also looking for a place that was filled with love and care. Vendy and the team at Pawsitive Power Dog Training not only helped socialize Athena, but they also helped us find Jasper, our new Brussels Griffon puppy. Jasper is an excellent match for Athena, and is coming along quickly with training. "In April of 2004 our lives changed drastically when we welcomed two yellow male Labradors (brothers) into our home in Las Vegas! What were we thinking?!! Our first months were interesting to say the least but wonderful because the night our boys arrived on an airplane and we saw their faces, we were in love.

I started searching for a trainer in the summer when it became apparent that while I had trained my last Labrador, having two males was presenting a whole other challenge! My search started in Las Vegas where we live and after several weeks of leaving messages to several trainers with no response and speaking with several that had no credentials, I realized I wanted someone who was not only qualified but saw the training as something more than a job.

I broadened my search and happened upon the Pawsitive Power Dog Training website. From the moment I e-mailed Vendy and then spoke to her on the phone I knew I had found the perfect person. Not only is Vendy more than qualified, she genuinely loves what she does. It was so apparent to me even before we met for the first time.

We were impressed with her training facility and the finely tuned way she runs the operation. Utmost consideration for the dogs was given when they designed the work and play areas on her property. Always clean, fresh water, plenty of toys and kindly human interaction is a staple at Pawsitive Power Dog Training.

Our boys attended Vendy's puppy training camp for 5 weeks and we brought home two dogs that had the beginning of discipline which was a welcome relief! We were given all the tools to follow through with their training. It has been almost two years since our first trip to Pawsitive Power Dog training and we can say with confidence it was the best decision we ever made to bring our boys to Vendy for training.

We have since brought them back to Vendy's for a short course "refresher training" when we have to be out of town. Each time they come home, their training is that much more reinforced. Turning over Hobbes to your care and guidance was a difficult decision for us. First, the thought of being away from him for several weeks broke our hearts. And as obsessed dog owners, we never believed that anyone was capable of giving our boy the same kind of love, attention and care that we do.

But now we know that sending Hobbes to you was absolutely the best decision we ever made. And we know that he was loved and pampered, given oodles of attention, exercised, and above all, happy.

Pawsitive Power have done to turn our two loving but rambunctious Vizslas puppies into the wellmannered
and obedient companions that we now enjoy. Initially, we didn't think such a thing was
possible! However, after working with you and Nichie, both we and the pups now enjoy a peaceful
and mutually rewarding relationship together. In our minds, you are miracle workers!
As first-time dog owners we felt a little lost when it came to teaching Dolce and Bentley how to be
obedient, what was acceptable and what wasn't, etc - it was incredibly overwhelming. Which
brings us to what we believe is one of the greatest benefits of working with you: Not only did you
train the hounds to be perfect pets, you also trained us to be good pet owners! To our minds, this
adds tremendous value and is what ultimately leads to the greatest success. Because you
understand how important it is for the dog owner to reinforce the same positive training
techniques that you have instilled in the dogs as you trained them, you also took the time to
gently and effectively train Tamera and I how to understand our dogs needs and how to be good
'parents' to them. We believe your emphasis on creating this kind of continuity in training is what

In addition, we were very impressed with the style of training you employee - positive
reinforcement and loving guidance based on a dogs needs rather than cold, clinical training

care deeply for the animals in their care and that they absolutely love what they do. Plus, you are
just great people to work with!

The BEST ever!!!!!!

Nikki and Vendy and the rest of the Pawsitive Staff are absolutely amazing. What a difference they have made on our pug "lola"...
She not only got trained there, but she visits there for her mini-vacations....
They are amazing and it feels great to be able to trust and rely on them to give my "lola" the absolute best care ever....
So many people have commented on "lola's" amazing transformation.
When I drop her off she gets so excited to visit her "home away from home" that she just sees her trainer and doesn't even glance back at her mommy for a quick little good-bye.

Sanford and Bella LOVE Vendy and Nichie

I found Vendy and Nichie through one of their associate trainers, Doree Sitterly, who trained my black lab puppy named Sanford at the young age of 13 weeks old.
Sanford attended their Saturday socialization classes to sharpen his basic skills and learned how to act around other dogs and people. Vendy and Nichie understand dogs so well that they were very clear to let me know that Sanford was so social that he really needed a companion. An opportunity arose where a yellow female lab, Bella, who had attended their 3 week intensive on-site training course, was available due to an unforeseen family circumstance with her current owner.
We adopted Bella and the rest is history....Sanford and Bella are the best of friends and love going to see Vendy and Nichie for either a day of play, when we travel, or to get spa services. S & B give them lots of kisses when they are coming and going from doggy day camp and it makes me so happy to know that they trust and adore Vendy and Nichie as much as I do. They are great people who love animals and the combination of their experience, facilities, and compassion is hard to find.

Miracle Workers in SOCAL

To say that Vendy and Nichie are the best is the understatement of the year! They have trained six dogs for me and all of them have turned out to be loving, well mannered and delightful 4-pawed ladies and gentlemen. As I write this, four of them are doing "pillow, down, stay" next to me. It is one of the best devices for training I know. I tell them we are going to go to work and they run for their pillows so we, the pack, can all be together, and I can get my podcasts done in peace and quiet.
Speaking of peace and quiet, the first dog Vendy trained for me was Gertie, a little poodle/something rescue from Tulsa, OK that I brought home from a television shoot there.

She had been taken from a puppy mill by Poodle Rescue and been in three homes before me. No one could stand her screeching and incessant barking - neither could I and my husband was threatening divorce if she stayed in the house! After several weeks with our superladies, she came home a changed mutt. They had figured out what was making her bark - her fear and need to control her situation - and worked with her to become secure, then taught me how to comfort her. Now she is the MOST delightful lady, still barks as a watch dog, but she knows the limits. What a difference. When she came home from her training, my husband stopped threatening to leave me if I kept her, we all had peace in the house again.

Since that time, Vendy has trained all my dogs and I wouldn't even think of taking them anywhere else. In my book they are five hundred stars!
